Cool Mint, Sweet Whiskey or Fire Cinnamon? The Picnic Flavor Guide

Picnic makes three flavors of nicotine toothpick: Cool Mint, Sweet Whiskey and Fire Cinnamon. People tend to have a strong favorite within the first tube, and it isn’t always the one they expected. Here’s what each one actually tastes like, who tends to reach for it, and how to find yours without buying a hundred picks of the wrong one.

Cool Mint

Clean and cool, closer to a mint toothpick than to a candy. The mint is bright at the start and settles into a steady coolness that lasts as long as the pick is in. It’s the flavor most people start with, and the only one we make in all three strengths — 3mg, 6mg and 9mg — which is why it’s the right choice if you already know you’ll want to move up in strength later.

Reach for it if you like mint gum or mint pouches, you want fresh breath as part of the deal, or you’re coming from a mint vape.

Sweet Whiskey

Warm, round and a little sweet — the taste of a good whiskey without the burn. There’s a vanilla-caramel note underneath the oak. It’s our most distinctive flavor and the one people describe as “grown-up.” Sweet Whiskey comes in 3mg.

Reach for it if mint feels clinical to you, you like coffee or tobacco-style flavors, or you want a pick that suits the end of a meal.

Fire Cinnamon

Hot cinnamon with a real kick, in the family of red-hot candies and cinnamon gum. The heat builds for a minute and then holds. It’s our best seller — and the flavor people are most likely to either love or hand to a friend. Fire Cinnamon comes in 3mg.

Reach for it if you want a pick with presence, you like cinnamon gum, or you find mint too mild.

Flavor and strength are separate choices

Flavor is about taste; strength is about nicotine per pick. A Fire Cinnamon 3mg and a Cool Mint 3mg carry the same nicotine — the cinnamon just feels bigger because of the heat. If you’re new to nicotine toothpicks, start at 3mg in whichever flavor appeals, then read how to choose your strength before changing anything.

The easiest way to decide

The Variety Pack is one tube of everything: all three flavors at 3mg, plus Cool Mint at 6mg and 9mg — five tubes, a hundred picks, and it ships free. Work through the three 3mg tubes first, pick the flavor you keep going back to, and then decide whether to step up in strength.

Picnic is for adults 21+ who already use nicotine. It is not intended to help you quit smoking or to treat any condition.
